About Us

The Story Behind Menturity™

Menturity™ grew out of years of working with children, schools and families, and noticing something simple but important: children are often judged by what they know, but what really matters is what they can do with what they know. Again and again, the most powerful moments were not about getting the right answer, but about trying, explaining, building, imagining and having the confidence to take part. Over time, this observation became a clearer idea and then a word. Menturity™ exists to name and protect that part of childhood where confidence, language and real-world capability grow through experience, not just instruction. It now underpins the Space Ranger Fred stories and the wider work of Matthew Newnham Productions, offering a practical, human way to think about how children really learn and grow.
